Course Description
Increase your firearm handling and marksmanship skills in this course that focuses on improving your ability to defend yourself with your firearms. Accuracy, speed, movement, rapid fire, reloading, malfunction clearing, cover, concealment and multiple target engagements are covered topics.
We will have obstacles, barricades, and multiple range challenges that will be integrated into move and shoot drills. This will also include "cutting the pie" in Close Quarter Battle skills and how to effectively approach doorways and windows while engaging threats.
Be prepared to learn "slow is smooth, smooth is fast" in this technique and tactic packed course.

You should be proficient in the use of your handgun and rifle and be familiar with the use of a holster and sling.
Firearms and Gear
For Carbine:
*Carbine (AR configuration preferred) and 3 magazines (minimum)
*Tactical sling for carbine
*400 rounds of carbine ammunition
*Eye and ear protection
*Optical sight (EOtech, Aimpoint, ACOG, etc) with spare batteries - Optional
*Magazine pouches with belt or tactical vest/carrier for carbine magazines - Optional - If you do not bring magazine pouches/vest/carrier - be sure to wear pants that have front and rear pockets for magazine stowage.
*Knee and elbow pads - Optional

For Handgun:
*Handgun(s) and a minimum of 2 magazines for each
*400 rounds or more of ammunition for each gun
*Optional - Sturdy belt, holster and magazine pouches for pistol if you are holster experienced​
*Appropriate clothing and footwear - no open toed footwear, please bring layered clothing as we will be outdoors with variable weather conditions-rain or shine. Tactical clothing is approved.
*Eye and ear protection
*Hat or head covering
*Sunscreen
*Note taking materials (pen and paper)
*Snack
*Personal water supply
*Knee and elbow pads - optional
*Individual first aid kit/tourniquet etc. - optional
